How many do I need?
Courses = wall height ÷ 0.2 m (each sleeper is 200 mm tall). Total = courses × the number of bays between your steel posts. Send us your length & height for a quick quote — note that walls over ~1 m, or with a surcharge, usually need an engineer’s design and council approval.
FAQ
Are concrete sleepers termite-proof and fireproof?
Yes. Concrete won’t rot, burn or be eaten by termites the way timber can, and at 40MPa it handles heavy retaining loads for decades.
Should I choose 80mm or 100mm?
80 mm (200x80) suits lower, standard walls and pairs with 100UC steel posts; 100 mm (200x100) is stronger for taller or heavier-load walls and pairs with 150UC posts.
Can I get a timber look without the upkeep?
Yes — the Woodgrain Charcoal finish gives a timber look with concrete durability. Stackstone and Blockface offer stacked-stone and split-rock looks.
What else do I need to build the wall?
Galvanised steel posts (the sleepers slot between them), bagged concrete to set the posts, compacted road base for the footing, and ag pipe plus crushed rock for drainage behind the wall.
